What is the T-Type Adapter Breakout Board – The T-Type Breakout Adapter board for the BBC micro:bit is designed to help facilitate wiring of micro bit development board to other electronic components easing the build of circuits using a breadboard. The T-Type Adapter Breakout board for the BBC micro:bit is very similar to the Raspberry Pi Cobbler board which has been immensely popular and is used widely by Raspberry Pi enthusiasts to breakout connections from the main Raspberry Pi board. With the BBC micro:bit plugged into the Breakout Adapter board you can now easily connect up your circuits on the breadboard to the various pins on the BBC micro:bit. The T-Type Breakout Adapter board is designed to ease access to the various pins on the BBC micro:bit. This adapter breaks out all the pins and power of micro bit development board to the female header pins.

About the BBC micro:bit – The BBC MicroBit (also referred to as BBC micro:bit) is an open source hardware ARM-based embedded system designed by the BBC for use in computer education in the UK. The BBC micro:bit was first announced on the launch of BBC’s Make It Digital campaign on 12 March 2015 with the intent of delivering 1 million devices to pupils in the UK.

Please note that this product does not come with a BBC micro:bit. You will need to purchase the BBC micro:bit separately.

  1. The micro:bit is half the size of a credit card and has an ARM Cortex-M0 processor
  2. The micro:bit comes along with an accelerometer and magnetometer sensors
  3. The micro:bit offers Bluetooth and USB connectivity
  4. Also embedded into the micro:bit front face is a display consisting of 25 LEDs and two programmable buttons

Please note that this product does not come with a BBC micro:bit. You will need to purchase the BBC micro:bit separately.
