The 400 Tie-Point bread board has a total of 400 holes on the top and can be used to prototype any electrical circuit. It has 2 power rails at either end, 10 columns, and 30 rows – a total of 400 tie in points. It has a standard double-strip in the middle and two power rails on both sides. Interlock multiple breadboards to create a single large breadboard. You can use the 400 Point Mini Self-Adhesive Breadboard with your BBC micro:bit, Arduino Uno, Arduino MEGA 2560 or your Raspberry Pi. Use the breadboard to test your prototypes out, iterate through a working prototype, then finalize the circuit components and setup before you decide on creating a permanent circuit by soldering them all together.

What is a breadboard – A breadboard is a solderless device for temporary prototype with electronics and test circuit designs. Most electronic components in electronic circuits can be interconnected by inserting their leads or terminals into the holes and then making connections through wires where appropriate. The breadboard has strips of metal underneath the board and connect the holes on the top of the board. Generally the top and bottom rows of holes are connected horizontally and split in the middle while the remaining holes are connected vertically. Breadboards make prototyping easy by not requiring you to solder different electronic components together. Once you have proven your prototype you can pull out all the components and get them soldered to create a permanent circuit connections if required.
