Appetite for Raspberry Jam – Raspberry Jams are independently organized community events for people to come together to learn about digital making using the Raspberry Pi. Jam events come in all shapes and sizes: workshops for beginners, drop-in sessions to work on your own projects, show-and-tell, talks, and more. A Jam is a meeting of all kinds of people: some will be new to physical computing, and some will have plenty of experience that they are happy to share. Jams are welcoming events where you’ll meet and learn from like-minded people in a friendly environment.
Come & Hack with us at Melbourne Raspberry Pi (Hackers) Jam – If you are in Melbourne, are keen to get started with your own STEM learning journey using the Raspberry Pi then drop in and join the Raspberry Pi party. RSVP using the link provided below, drop by and see us at the Melbourne Raspberry Pi Hackers Meetup being held on the 6th of October 2019 – https://www.meetup.com/Melbourne-Raspberry-Jam/events/flrzxqyznbjb/. We are a group of makers, coders, hackers, electronics enthusiasts etc. who meetup once a month at the Docklands Makerspace & Public library, bring along our projects to work on, share the learning we’ve gained and help others out along the way. We are called a Raspberry Pi Hackers (Jam) but at heart we are essentially a community of electronics / robotics / coding enthusiasts who support each other on their Raspberry Pi, Arduino, ESP32, ESP8266, IOT, robotics, etc. projects. The Raspberry Pi Melbourne Hackers Group usually meet every 1st Sunday of the month between 1200 – 1400 Hrs AEST at the Docklands Makerspace in Melbourne.
!!!! The Melbourne Raspberry Pi Hackers Group would like to thank the City of Melbourne and especially the Docklands Library Maker Space for their on-going support. !!!!!
What is the Melbourne Raspberry Pi Hackers Meetup all about – Melbourne Raspberry Pi Hackers is a platform that meets once a month with the objective of sharing, collaborating on interesting Raspberry Pi, Arduino, ESP8266, ESP32, 3D printing, robotics, etc. related projects and hacking together on Open Source / Open Hardware platforms. From time to time Melbourne Raspberry Pi Hackers conducts tutorials/workshops to get folks started hacking with their Raspberry Pi, Arduinos, ESP32’s, etc.
The Melbourne Raspberry Pi Meetup is open to everyone, irrespective of age/gender/skill levels, etc. The meetup is a great opportunity to learn more about the fundamentals of electronics, robotics, Raspberry Pi, Arduino, ESP32, ESP8266, 3D modelling, 3D printing, etc.We regularly conduct sessions for folks just starting out and keen to dive into the world of electronics, robotics, coding, 3D modelling, 3d printing, etc. You can sign up here – Meetup.

What is a Raspberry Pi – The Raspberry Pi is a low cost, credit-card sized (SBC – Single Board Computer) computer that plugs into a computer monitor or TV, and uses a standard keyboard and mouse. It is a capable little device that enables people of all ages to explore computing, and to learn how to program in languages like Scratch and Python. It’s capable of doing everything you’d expect a desktop computer to do, from browsing the internet and playing high-definition video, to making spreadsheets, word-processing, and playing games.
What’s more, the Raspberry Pi has the ability to interact with the outside world, and has been used in a wide array of digital maker projects, from music machines and parent detectors to weather stations and tweeting birdhouses with infra-red cameras. We want to see the Raspberry Pi being used by kids all over the world to learn to program and understand how computers work.
